I am a dark roast coffee-powered explorer with a passion for crafting beautiful code, focused workflows and improving user experiences through thoughtful, intuitive and innovative design.
Since childhood, I’ve loved creating something out of nothing, deconstructing things to see how they worked, asking questions, troubleshooting problems and aiding communication. On occasion I pretend to be a photographer and writer.
I have been lucky enough to work on a wide array of projects ranging from UX design, Front-End Development, Graphic Design, Typography, Photography and Project Management. Below are a sampling of my latest works.

I am an alumna of Michigan State University. I studied web & interactive media and design within the telecommunications department. I did a year long stint as a computer science major before realizing that I preferred to work in a space where design and code intertwines. I am currently currently open to learning about contract-to-hire or a full-time position in UX Design or Front-End Development. A personal goal of mine is to earn a Master's Degree in Human Computer Interaction Design. I am most interested in mobile trends, interfaces and development techniques.
I have been creating websites for 6+ years and have worked professionally in the industry for 4+ years. I have an understanding of, experience in and a passion for both design and development. I love people. I enjoy working in a team and believe that a better product is produced when more than one mind is working on a solution. Nonetheless, I am capable of working on alone.
Besides the web, my passion lies in travel and photograph. I have completed two Study Abroad programs; the second gave me practical experience designing mobile experiences within a multi-cultural team. I love to explore new places, challenge myself and push past my comfort zone. I am an avid reader, boater, and all-around outdoors person. I am open to opportunities in the Seattle-Metro area.
“An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great. So just focus, and keep aiming.”
Two weekends ago I participated in Seattle's Startup Weekend. In 54 short I worked with a team comprising of eight individuals of varying disciplines and cultures to craft a business plan and design/develop a functioning demo application. An online companion website that, according to our road map, would be integrated into the iOS framework can be viewed at fastbar.co.
